Cylinder Heads

The 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine (2003–2007) uses cast-iron cylinder heads built for high combustion pressure. Each head has four valves per cylinder to boost airflow and performance. However, weak factory head bolts often lead to head gasket failures, especially under high boost or heavy towing. Many owners upgrade to stronger head studs to fix the issue and improve reliability.
