• Don’t risk getting stuck out on the side of the highway with a broken flexplate. The stamped factory flexplate is known to fail because of its thin friction welds. Even in factory format with stock applications they have known to fail. But, the failure increase significantly with any power adders. The tow bill alone can be more than the cost of the additional security of the billet flexplate. But the extra labor to remove the transmission to install a new flexplate would cost over a thousand dollars at any shop. Why risk this when you don’t have to. We have never had a single failure of our flexplates machined in house at Choate Engineering Performance. We have many of these flexplates pushing 4 digits in horsepower.
